THE TEST SET

Podcast identity & production, art direction, identity, motion, editing

Posit wanted to create a podcast that could step outside the usual technical conversation around data science and focus more on the people doing the work—their ideas, experiences and the paths that brought them there.

I worked with the team as the idea took shape, helping develop the visual identity and then figuring out how that identity would work as an actual show. The system needed to feel recognizably Posit while giving The Test Set enough personality to stand on its own across video, audio, social and promotional content.

My role extended well beyond the identity. I developed the title design and motion package, helped establish the production approach, and stayed very hands-on through the first episodes—editing video, building titles and graphics, and helping work through how the show would function in practice.

Once that foundation was established, the production could move to outside editors. I handed off the system, provided direction around remote episodes and continued overseeing aspects of production, occasionally stepping back into the edit when the project needed it.
